Tonight’s show was so much fun. Everyone was on point, having fun, and seemed to be much more relaxed. The relaxed vibe in studio allowed everything to flow throughout the entire show. Comedian Matt Scarpelli returned for his second visit as our in studio guest, as John Szeluga was forced to call in guest after coming down with the flu. John and Matt are co-hosting Wacky Wednesdays at The Looney Bin Comedy Club on Staten Island. Both added a lot of energy and comic relief to the radio show.

Neal Bennington, celebrity blogger, shown in picture above as a guest on the Wendy Williams show. Neal was the perfect guest on The Comedy Point, as he is a man on a mission creating his own opportunities. In the state today’s economy and competitive job market, regardless of the profession, the only way to make things happen is by creating opportunities for yourself. Why is this relevant? Neal, like myself, is making things happens while pursuing a career he is passionate about. There’s nothing better than working towards something you believe in.

Neal, calling in live from The OUT Music Awards in New York City, took time away from the red carpet for The Comedy Point. For more on this event and Neal’s blog go to http://nealbinnyc.wordpress.com/ All of our listeners loved Neal so much, he will have his own segment twice a month! This is exciting news for The Comedy Point.

Rich’s Rant never disappoints, as he brought up the bottled water industry and the pro’s and cons of tap verse bottled water. Speaking on a subject caused my sister Deanna to call in and dispute his opinions. Rich and Deanna have seemed to create a friendly rival, as Deanna represents a female voice of reason to Rich’s Rant. I look forward to seeing how this develops in the weeks to come.

Starting out the 2nd hour, as always, was “Dog In The Park with Maddog Mattern!!!.” Maddog was not alone this as he added Maddog’s angels in honor of the holiday season calling in from Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. “Rojo,” as Maddog referred to his Angel really didn’t say much except, “HEYYYYY.” It was very comical. Our listeners have grown to expect the unexpected from Maddog Mattern!!! and “Dog in The Park!” Where will he call in from next week? We will have to tune in to find out…..

Last but not least, “Grandma’s Corner,” was at an all time high this week. Grandma really has been interacting with the crew of The Comedy Point, having wittier remarks each week. She told Eric to, “Get his mind out of the basement!” I think we knew what she meant, but it made for a few laughs. Tonight was our 15th show and with it ends, “Season 1,” of The Comedy Point. Coming soon will be “The Best Of The Comedy Point: Season 1.” Until then, have a great week and thanks always for listening!
