Sibling rivalry always seems to generate a lot of interest. From Paris and Nikki Hilton, to the Kardashians, and the Osbournes, the public loves family drama. Now you can add the Comedy Point to the list of on air personality family feuds. The Richardson siblings….Joel, Deanna, and Laura are facing off at the Warrior Dash on June 12, 2011 to raise money for Lifestyles for the Disabled. While they originally rallied together to raise money for charity, the siblings slowly day by day, and week by week began to shift their focus to trash talking, and flaunting their individual training sessions (raising $$ is still their main goal though). So, we here at the Comedy Point decided to get our audience involved, and see if the general public can pick the winner. Below you will find a bio for each participant. In order to participate please read the bios, then pick the winner, and the time in which you think they will finish. The participant who picks the winner, and is closest to their finishing time will win. Please remember it is only a 5K, but there will be obstacles along the way, as it is a Warrior Dash. Good luck, and be sure to follow the Comedy Point for updates on the siblings training schedule, and race results in 1.5 weeks.
JOEL
age: 31
BIO: Joel Richardson, or “Soul” Joel as he is known in the entertainment industry has been an athlete his entire life. Soul played soccer and wrestled in high school, and wrestled for Wagner College. After college he participated in 2 marathons, and 2 triathalons. However, Soul’s love affair with food may lead to his defeat in the Warrior Dash. He often works 6-7 days a week, late nights, and from sunrise to sunset. So, despite the fact that he is no stranger to racing, his place at No.1 is questionable.
DEANNA
age: 27
BIO: Deanna Richardson is a fairly experienced runner, but lacks the “crazy” gene that her brother Joel inherited. She herself is an athlete having played soccer in high school, and college, and is now an avid runner. Deanna also returned from the Middle East 6 months ago having run several 5K races. Her training schedule, yoga practice, and time in the gym are definetely in her favor. However, her lack of sleep due to having a 2.5 year old little girl may drag her down on race day. Deanna also has to run her bi-yearly physical test for the Navy that morning and then haul it to the Warrior Dash for a noon start. So, all of her training may be in vain due to lack of sleep and other obligations. Can Deanna overcome her obstacles to take first?
LAURA
age: 24
BIO: Laura Richardson, just like her brother and sister is a former athlete. Laura played soccer, and participated in the crew team in high school. She is the lightest and leanest of the siblings which may play greatly in her favor due to the nature of the Warrior Dash. However, Laura also is a Mom with a child who disrupts her sleep schedule greatly. Laura also does not get to train as much as she would like, because child has a great disdain for the gym nursery. On the contrary Laura is a person who can just throw on her sneakers and run 4 miles after taking months off. So, can Laura’s great lung capacity, and lean physique be enough for a 1st place finish? Keep an eye on the Comedy Point website and tune in on Tuesdays to find out the results!
