Our Tweet and Greet Guest Marty Beckerman has written a tongue-in-cheek guide to masculinity based on the life and works of Ernest Hemingway, titled The Heming Way: How to Unleash the Booze-Inhaling, Animal-Slaughtering, War-Glorifying, Hairy-Chested, Retro-Sexual Legend Within… Just Like Papa!
July 2nd marks the 50th anniversary of Hemingway’s death, yet we’ve forgotten every lesson he taught. This book shall introduce Marty’s generation to the teachings of history’s ultimate man – drunken, unshaven, meat-devouring, wife-divorcing, and gloriously self-destructive. With chapters including “For Whom the Beer Flows,” “Death in the Afternoon… Lunch is Served,” “A Farewell to Smooth Arms, Backs, Taints, Etc.,” and “The Old Man and the See You in Hell,” Marty encourages young men to bring back Hemingway’s legendary brand of rugged, alcoholic manliness. Instead of wasting our time on Facebook and Twitter, we should be climbing mountains, dominating battlefields, and transforming majestic creatures of the Southern Hemisphere into piano keyboards.
Tune in TONIGHT on The Comedy Point at 6:20 PM! Be sure to become a FAN of Marty’s on Facebook! Follow him on Twitter @MartyBeckerman
