2011 was the best year for The Comedy Point to date.
And if the Mayan Calendar is correct, it could be the best year in all.
Not only did the show attract many more listeners, but it also featured some very high profile guests.
Lisa Lampanelli, Jim Norton, Mick Foley and Lizz Winstead were some of the stars that made their debut on the show this year.
Another one of our big shows was the first appearance of this week’s Featured Guest: Felipe Esparza
Felipe is back by popular the demand to promote his one-hour comedy special on Showtime, which premiers Wednesday the 28th at 10:00PM. The winner of 2010’s Last Comic Standing is sure to charm you with his quick wit and one of a kind delivery.
See what Felipe has been up to (here).
There’s no better way to wrap up the year than with comedic powerhouse Robert Kelly, who will be rocking our phone line with probably the funniest radio interview you’ll ever hear.
If you don’t know Robert Kelly, get to know him here and purchase tickets to see him at The Stress Factory Comedy Club this Thursday and Friday and Saturday for New Year’s Eve (here).
Damien Lemon will also be on the show to talk about starring role on MTV’s new show, “Guy Code,”, his stand up career and his upcoming appearance on Russell Simmons Presents this January. You’ll love Damien’s take on current events and what’s in the news.
Check him out (here).
Our Tweet and Greet Guest is Nick Spears. The Actor, Writer and Comic will be talking about his video shorts that have gone ultra-viral online.
Read about Nick (here).
Black Orchid Ritual is our Unsigned Artist of the Week. The veteran group has been rocking out for over a decade and will provide this week’s musical interlude.
Listen to Joe Mayo’s latest feature (here).
And last but not least we have the varied talents of Denise Mitchell. She is a entrepreneur with a great Twitter following. I’m sure that she has a lot that she can teach our listeners and The Comedy Point crew.
See what Denise has going on (here)
Finally, long time listener and comedian Ken Burmeister calls in for the first time to discuss his NEW show, “Dropping Science,” with comic Mike Bocchetti on BashBox TV. Plus Ken and Mike, will be conducing, “Man in the street interviews,” with RawDog Comedy !

Helping and supporting Soul Joel and the Comedy Point in 2011 (and the Staten Island Comedy Festival) was one of the highlights of my year. Although things have changed I am grateful for the experience. Best of everything in 2012.
