Moorestown High School, SOUL Joel’s Alma matter, has been nothing but supportive early in his career in entertainment, hiring Soul Joel Productions for various fundraiser events. In addition, SOUL Joel spoke at the high school’s, “Wellness Day,” in the Fall of 2010. What better way to give back to his Alma mater than to periodically spotlight fellow Moorestown Alumni on The Comedy Point’s website.
This week we are honored to feature Stephen Lynch, from the Class of 1996 Moorestown High School and an Entrepreneur and
Unfranchise Developer.

How were you different in your teens than you are now?
Stephen:
My teen years and youth in general revolved around my focus on a career in baseball. I dedicated much of my time for the pursuit of that dream. The Lord has an interesting way of working things out and adjusting those paths. Now my life revolves around my wife Amber, 2 children, my business, and a relationship with God (through my Lord and savior Jesus Christ) that I cherish more than anything else
What important things have you learned over the years that have helped you become who you are today?
Stephen:
My battlecry for life is to help others believe and achieve more than they thought possible. Zig Ziglar said it best “Help enough people get what they want out of life and you will get what you desire in life”. Along these lines and through every life experience I have encountered brought me into a deeper realization that life is so precious. My daughter underwent open heart surgery a little over a year ago. As I assess every aspect of life and what holds value and importance in the scope of eternity it makes me live each day to the fullest and not waste time.
What were you best known for in high school?
Stephen:
My baseball career in high school is what I would most likely be remembered for. When I do catch up with people from the past this subject gets brought up more times than not.
Where did you picture yourself as an adult when you were in high school?
Stephen:
In high school (and pretty much from the time I was 5) I pictured myself playing professional baseball. I never even contemplated a plan B until my Sophomore year in college.
Did the people who knew you best think you would be doing what you’re doing now?
Stephen:
My guess would be probably not in relation to the type of business that I own. They might have thought I would live a life of an entrepreneur, but probably not exactly what it is that I do today.
Was anything you did in high school or college related to what you do now?
Stephen:
In high school and pretty much since I was 13, I was heavily involved in health and fitness. A major component of my business has to do with weight loss solutions. So this habit carried over as a passion to work with others and help them live a healthier life. One of my businesses that I own involves personal training and nutrition counseling. So yes, these habits that were a part of who I was in high school have carried over into what I do today
Are there any dreams in high school that you let go of? Are there any dreams that you haven’t achieved that you hoping to accomplish in the future?
Stephen:
Becoming a professional baseball player is one dream that I let go of around the age of 25. Dreams that haven’t come true yet that will be coming true… Well I wholeheartedly believe that a person never “arrives” or “makes it”. We are always in flux.I believe we are either moving forward or backward, never neutral. I continue to dream and live a life that first and foremost honors my Creator. My dream in life is to help other people get everything out of their life that they are willing to work hard to have. So my dreams are always being accomplished as long as I surround myself with people who are willing to make a difference in their lives and for those around them!
