Today marks the 1 year anniversary of my radio show The Comedy Point, which first aired on WTBQ 99.1 FM in Orange County on September 1st, 2009.  During my time at Wagner College, I briefly had my own radio show, where I played music and talked in between for shorts amount of time. But for the most part, my only radio show experience was as a guest on various shows, not producing and anchoring my very own show.

2 stations and 1 year later, The Comedy Point now broadcasts in my home county of Burlington in NJ on WIFI 1460 AM Florence into Philadelphia and South to Atlantic City.  Over 1,000 listeners per week listen to our show between the downloads on iTunes and the live listeners on http://www.wifiam1460.com/

That’s gaining 20 new listeners each week and retaining them over the course of a year. I hope that our growth process will continue and hopefully even accelerate. I personally would like to thank head writer Burak Uzun, my co-hosts Rich Shultis and Matt Scarpelli, along with Maddog Mattern and Grandma Marian Richardson for making the show a great product and enjoyment for people to tuning in!

Banana Muffins

• 1\4c. oil

• 7\8 cup sugar

• 1 cup flour

• 2 mashed bananas

• 2 eggs 1\2 tsp. soda

• 1\4 c chopped nuts.

• Mix all ingredients.

• Add chopped nuts.

• Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 in lined muffin pans

The CD is 46 tracks totaling 80 minutes of non-stop laughs from September to December. Clips are arranged in chronological order starting with the 1st show September 1st, 2009. The cd was edited by John Szeluga, who also appears on a few of the tracks as our in studio guest. We can’t thank John enough for all of the hours spent putting this together.
What can one expect from, “The Best of?” Some of the best moments from Grandma Marian Richardson, Maddog Mattern, Rich Shultis, and SOUL Joel are high lighted on this cd. Many of our in studio guests during the 18 shows are featured on the compilation including: Matt Scarpelli, Yannis Pappas, Kendra Cunningham, Dave Zdanowitz, Lisa Ann, Tracy Rosenberg, Joe Conte, Bryan Berner and Cluster F Radio Crew, Jimmy Q, Meg, Bobby Funaro and Greg Mescall.

First Take 2 packages of crescent dinner rolls

3 packages of 8 0z cream cheese

1/2c.margarine

1 package of dry hidden valley ranch dressing

1/2c. mayonnaise

Broccoli flowerettes cauliflower shredded carrots shredded cheddar cheese

Press dinner rolls on medium cookie sheet

Bake as directed mix all ingredients together and spread on baked cool crescent rolls top with vegetables

My little secret is that I like to put tomatoes and lots of shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Great for a party!

1/2lb.gingersnaps
1stick butter
1/2 box powdered sugar
3 egg yolks
1 can crushed pineapple drained
2 bananas diced
1/2 pt.cream whipped and sweetened.butter
a 9-13baking dish.

1) Crumble the gingersnaps and divide in half
2) Spread half in the bottom of dish
3) Cream the butter, powdered sugar and egg yolds in a mixing bowl and spread over crumbs.
4) mix pineapple and bananas together and spread over creamed mixture
5) top with whipped cream and sprinkle with remaining crumbs

Yield 15 servings. so good diet recipes ha ha (Grandma Loves to end the recipe with a little joke, her own personal touch)

Each week leading up to the holidays, “Grandma” Marian Richardson of The Comedy Point with Soul Joel radio show will be giving out one of her favorite recipes. Her first one is for Holiday Candy

.16 0z jar of peanut butter [creamy or cruncy]
1 vanilla frosting .
heat peanut butter in microwave until soft .
mix in bowl with icing mix really well
rub small pan with butter then refrigerate for a few minutes
then cut and eat .

You have the candy. If you want chocolate, just use chocolate icing. You can also put walnuts if you want.
